The type of personal information we may collect can include (but is notlimited to), your name, your region or postal address, email address, phonenumbers, together with information about the products or services we haveprovided you, billing information and, if applicable, employment information.Where you do not wish to provide us with your personal information, wemay not be able to provide you with requested goods or services.

4. Our purposes for handling your personal information

We will hold personal information as either secure physical records,electronically on our intranet system, in cloud storage, and in some cases,records on third party servers, which may be located overseas.We maintain appropriate physical, procedural and technical security forour offices and information storage facilities so as to prevent any loss,misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or modification of personal information. This also applies to disposal of personal information.We further protect personal information by restricting access topersonal information to only those who need access to the personal informationto do their job.  Physical, electronic and managerial procedures have beenemployed to safeguard the security and integrity of your personal information.Except to the extent liability cannot be excluded due to the operationof statute, we exclude all liability (including in negligence) for the consequencesof any unauthorised access to, disclosure of, misuse of or loss or corruptionof your personal information.  Nothing in this Privacy Policy restricts,excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutoryconsumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition andConsumer Act 2010 (Cth).If you become aware of any suspected breach of security, please contactour Privacy Officer immediately on the contact details set out in section 10below.We will destroy or de-identify personal information once it is no longerneeded for a valid purpose or required to be kept by law.

6. Direct marketing
Like most businesses, marketing is important to our continued success. We believe we have a unique range of products and services that weprovide to customers at a high standard.  We therefore like to stay intouch with customers and let them know about new opportunities.  We mayprovide you with information about new products, services and promotions eitherfrom us, or from third parties which may be of interest to you.You may opt out at any time if you no longer wish to receive commercialmessages from us.  You can make this request by contacting our PrivacyOfficer.

7. Accessing and correcting your personal information You may contact our Privacy Officer to request access to the personalinformation that we hold about you and/or to make corrections to thatinformation, at any time.  You generally have the right to access yourpersonal information, subject to some limitations contained in the PrivacyAct 1988 (Cth).  The Australian Privacy Principles set out somecircumstances in which we are not required to provide you with suchaccess.  On the rare occasions when we refuse access, we will provide youwith a written notice stating our reasons for refusing access.  We mayseek to recover from you reasonable costs incurred for providing you withaccess to any of the personal information we hold about you.We are not obliged to correct any of your personal information if we donot agree that it requires correction and may refuse to do so.  If werefuse a correction request, we will provide you with a written notice statingour reasons for refusing.We will respond to all requests for access to or correction of personalinformation within a reasonable time.

8. Overseas transfers of personal information From time to time we may engage overseas business partners and serviceproviders, such as cloud-based storage solutions, email newsletterdistributors, statistical analysts, etc.  This may involve disclosing yourpersonal information to those overseas entities in order to do businesseffectively.  Because these entities may change from time to time and mayhave offices and services in many different places around the world, it is notpracticable to list the countries where they are located in this PrivacyPolicy.By providing your personal information to us, you consent to usdisclosing your personal information to overseas recipients for purposesnecessary or useful in the course of operating our business, and agree thatAPP 8.1 will not apply to such disclosures.  For the avoidance ofdoubt, in the event that an overseas recipient breaches the Australian PrivacyPrinciples, that entity will not be bound by, and you will not be able seekredress under, the Privacy Act.If you do not want us to disclose your information to overseasrecipients, please let us know.

9. Using our Websites A cookie is a small text file that our Websites may place on yourcomputer.  Usually, cookies are used as a means for our Website toremember your preferences.  As such, cookies are designed to improve yourexperience.  In some circumstances, cookies may collect and store personalinformation about you.  We will take all reasonable steps to protect yourinformation.  We may also use cookies for targeted onlineadvertising.  Most browsers are pre-set to accept cookies; however, youcan adjust your browser to disable cookies or warn you when they are beingused.  Note that if you disable your cookies it may impact on your websiteexperience.We use Google Analytics to gather statistics on the usage of ourWebsites.  Google may aggregate data they collect from their variousservices including Google Analytics, Google Translate, Google Maps andYouTube.  Beautiful Accommodation has no control over Google’s datacollection.  More details are available on the Google Analytics websiteat https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.Our Websites may link to third party sites.  We recommend that yourefer to the privacy policies of the sites you visit.  Our Privacy Policyapplies to our Websites only and we  assume no responsibility forinformation or content of third party sites.
